Description

ARA-290 (also known as Cibinetide) is an 11–amino-acid synthetic peptide derived from the B-helix region of human erythropoietin (EPO).
It selectively activates the Innate Repair Receptor (IRR) — a heterodimeric complex formed by EPOR and CD131 — without stimulating the classical erythropoietic (red blood cell–producing) pathway.

This makes ARA-290 an important research compound for studying tissue protection, anti-inflammatory signaling, and neuropathic repair independent of hematopoiesis.
Preclinical studies demonstrate that ARA-290 modulates cytokine production, enhances microvascular function, and reduces tissue injury in models of ischemia, inflammation, and diabetic neuropathy.
