Description
Dihexa (N-hexanoic-Tyr-Ile-(6) aminohexanoic amide) is a synthetic nootropic peptide derivative developed as a hepatocyte growth factor (HGF) mimetic and agonist of the c-Met receptor pathway.
Preclinical studies have shown that Dihexa promotes synaptogenesis, neuronal connectivity, and memory formation through enhanced neurotrophic signaling.
It is significantly more potent than brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) in stimulating synaptic formation, making it a valuable model compound for exploring cognitive enhancement, neurodegeneration, and neural plasticity.
Dihexa’s lipophilic structure allows it to cross the blood–brain barrier efficiently, enabling central nervous system (CNS) research on neurogenesis and long-term potentiation (LTP).
