Description
Ipamorelin is a synthetic pentapeptide belonging to the growth hormone–releasing peptide (GHRP) family.
It is a highly selective ghrelin receptor (GHSR-1a) agonist, known for stimulating growth hormone (GH) release from the anterior pituitary with minimal impact on cortisol or prolactin levels.
Unlike earlier GHRPs (such as GHRP-6 or Hexarelin), Ipamorelin exhibits a clean endocrine profile and strong receptor specificity, making it a valuable model compound for studying GH pulsatility, anabolic signaling, and pituitary function.
Preclinical studies have also shown improvements in muscle repair, recovery rate, and metabolic homeostasis, making Ipamorelin useful for research into tissue regeneration and anti-aging pathways.
When used in conjunction with CJC-1295 or Sermorelin, it demonstrates additive or synergistic effects on GH/IGF-1 release, enabling detailed exploration of hypothalamic-pituitary axis modulation.
