Description
Letrozole is a non-steroidal triazole derivative that functions as a potent aromatase (CYP19A1) enzyme inhibitor, suppressing the conversion of androgens to estrogens.
In experimental endocrinology, Letrozole is used to study estrogen regulation, hypothalamic-pituitary feedback mechanisms, and androgen–estrogen balance.
Research has shown that inhibition of aromatase by Letrozole can increase circulating testosterone levels, reduce estrogen-dependent feedback, and modulate gonadotropin secretion (LH/FSH).
It is widely used as a model compound for studying endocrine suppression, post-cycle hormone dynamics, and estrogen-sensitive signaling in both reproductive and metabolic systems.
Intended Use
This product is intended for laboratory research use only.
