Description
PEG-MGF (Pegylated Mechano Growth Factor) is a chemically modified analog of Mechano Growth Factor (IGF-1 Ec) in which a polyethylene glycol (PEG) chain is covalently attached to the peptide backbone to enhance stability, solubility, and plasma half-life.
This modification reduces enzymatic degradation and renal clearance, resulting in a prolonged duration of biological activity compared with native MGF.
PEG-MGF retains the biological activity of the parent peptide, promoting myoblast proliferation, satellite-cell activation, and muscle-fiber regeneration in experimental models of muscle stress or injury.
It provides an effective model for exploring growth-factor pharmacokinetics, peptide pegylation chemistry, and localized anabolic responses to mechanical or biochemical stimuli.
